Transcend 192GB SSD launched in India

Transcend has launched its 2.5-inch form factor 192GB high-speed Solid State Drive (SSD) in India. Since SSD has no moving parts and is made of NAND flash memory, there is no possibility of mechanical failure due to shock, vibration or heat.

The Transcend 192GB SSD has a 150 MB/sec reading speed and almost 90 MB/sec of writing speed. It is fully SATA II compliant and has a built-in ECC (Error Correction Code) functionality which ensures accurate data transfer, and wear-leveling technology for long-term reliability.The Transcend 192GB SSD can be easily installed in most notebooks and PCs.Transcend 192GB SSD is available with a two-year warranty at a price of Rs. 37,000, excluding taxes.

Shah Rukh Khan is Mogambo in Mr India 2

Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of the famous Mogambo in Mr India 2 which will be directed by Shekhar Kapur. Mr India 2 is the sequel to Mr India which was a big hit in 1987 with Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in the lead roles. The role of Mogambo had been played by Amrish Puri and the dialogue 'Mogambo Khush Hua' said by Amrish Puri had become legendary. (Click to enlarge images)

Shekhar Kapoor made the offer to Shah Rukh Khan and he is confident that Shah Rukh Khan will accept it, though SRK has yet to confirm it. Mr India 2 is being produced by Boney Kapoor and Manmohan Shetty.
Also, Sridevi will be making her comeback in this film and will be once again seen with Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor and Sridevi will be playing the role of the older couple and there will be another younger couple in the film.
However, Mr India 2 will be more villain centric. So, director Shekhar Kapur selected Shah Rukh Khan for the role since he felt that none of the current villians in Bollywood have the intense personality to portray the role of Mogambo which Amrish Puri had enacted with such maniacal glee in Mr India. Also, Shah Rukh had played the role of the villian in Baazigar and Darr in the initial stages of his acting career which had been highly appreciated by the audiences.Audiences would surely love to see how Shah Rukh Khan portrays the role of Mogambo in Mr India 2.

NOTHING IS GOOD OR BAD, THINKING MAKES IT SO

There are good things and bad things and it is not that way just because someone thinks it is. If you break a leg that is bad. It is not someone imagination. It is real. It is a truth. And it hurts for real and has negative affects. There are good things as well.

It is up to a person’s beliefs or imagination as to how good or bad it may be. I think there is a truth in this phrase “nothing is as good or bad as it seems at the moment.” The level of something good or bad is a matter of perception. All in all, killing, stealing, raping, child – molesting, slavery and assault are wrong, probably everywhere. Violent crime is never ‘good’. Forcing someone to do something they don’t want to do in never ‘good’.

What appears to be bad to one person may be good to another. This applies to food, morals and cultural beliefs. It also believes that nothing really matters. Live your life without regard to what others think about it. If they want to waste their time in life worrying about what you are doing, it is their own time they are wasting.

A rose would still be a rose even if you called it a cabbage. You can twist anything around to justify it. But it will never be right and you will have consequences.

Deep in or heart are soul unless are severely mentally ill your heart knows what is good or bad, sometimes a person’s heart, soul and conscious are sacred from doing so much evil and they destroy their selves. So who is right and who is wrong?

What about painting? Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder, it is learned and a taught thing. One’s personal taste doesn’t make a painting good or bad. If you will be able to give an opinion on it, you have good taste and know the art of beauty.

Eventually it depends on the past experiences of the person and also the person’s personality. For an optimistic person, even the worst situation has a brighter side, whereas a pessimist can only sulk and never live life to the fullest.

As per psychotherapisis, analyzing the lives of several hundred succesful people, many suffered crushing setback all learnt techniques for defeating dejection and not losing their interests in serious, critical and difficult situations. one's view of thinking decides whether you are an optimist or pessimist. For example when a glass is kept with 50% of water, some people say that this is half-full. They are optimists. Those who say that the glass is half-empty are pessimiss. So be an optimist always. With an optimistic attitude we can achieve a lot in life. To have this optimistic attitude we need to know the difference between the two. We may understand it from an example. When two of my friends failed in an examination, one took it as a real failure and lost his confidence, while the other one accepted this as a challenge and did perform well in the proceeding examination that followed. This is the differance. The optimist takes failure not as a setback to his attempts, but, as an opportunity to get a second chance to improve, while a pessimist takes this as a real failure and loses hope in life! According to one research it was found that most of the successful people are optimists. It is very important for us to be optimistic to be succesful in life. We can take the attitude as an important step for being successful. Its all about being OPTIMISTIC!!

FORGIVE AND BE BLESSED

As humans, we all make mistakes and expect everyone else to forgive us. But when it comes to our forgiving others, we find it difficult. The reason may be as Mahatma Gandhi said, “the weak can never forgive as forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

It may not have been easy for Mrs.Steins to forgive those who burnt alive her husband and two of her sons. Yet she did. Pope John Paul II forgave the person who shot and wounded him seriously. He also visited the convict in prison and forgave him.

One of the easiest ways to practice forgiveness is not to brood over the hurt others have caused to you but to remember the good things they have done to you.

Any small hurt carried for long can weigh us down. At the end of the day, what is required is peace of mind and not pieces of mind. The best pillow for sound sleep every night is to have a calm and peaceful head over your shoulders.

The other day I read this anecdote. Two friends were walking through a desert. During some point of the journey, they had an argument and one slapped the other.

The one who was slapped, without uttering a word, wrote on sand:” today my best friend slapped me on my face.” They walked on, and a little ahead the friend who was slapped fall into an oasis and was about to drown. But his friend pulled him out.
As they continued their journey, the friend who was saved wrote, not on sand but on stone:” today my best friend saved my life.” When asked for the reason he said:” when someone hurts us we should write it down on sand, where wind of forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it on stone where no wind can ever erase it.” Let us practice the art of forgiveness. We will live life happier.

SAMSUNG BLUE EARTH - SOLAR POWERED MOBILE PHONE

Samsung has unveiled its latest eco-friendly full touchscreen mobile phone called 'Blue Earth'. Samsung Blue Earth is pebble shaped and is made from a recycled plastic called PCM, which is extracted from used water bottles.

Samsung Blue Earth has a solar panel on the backside of the phone, which charge the phone in sunlight. The mobile phone and the charger, are devoid of harmful substances such as Brominated Flame Retardants, Beryllium and Phthalate.
Samsung Blue Earth has features such as 'eco walk' which indicates to the user how many steps have been taken (with the in-built pedometer) and how how much CO2 emission you have managed to save by walking instead of taking a car. It also has a 'eco-mode' which allows the user to optimize Bluetooth, screen brightness and backlight duration.
Samsung's Blue Earth will be initially launched in UK by the second half of 2009. There is no information on pricing of this eco-friendly phone, as yet.

Microsoft has released its Internet Explorer 8 web browser and it is now available for free download to genuine Windows users. Internet Explorer 8 has been released in the face of stiff competition from other web browsers such as Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Apple Safari browsers.



Internet Explorer 8 will be an integral part of Microsoft's forthcoming Windows 7 operating system. Sony Ericsson is unveiling its C510 Cyber-shot mobile phone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

It has a 2.2" 262k color TFT, QVGA (240x320 pixel) resolution display, a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash, 3.2x digital zoom, face detection, smile shutter (which detects a person's smile and immediately takes a photo), auto-rotation, image editing, a lens cover.

The Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot also has photo related features such as Face Detection, Photo Fix, and autofocus . Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot is integrated with Snapfish and YouTube. The Power Of Words

Sow roses and reap smiles and blessings – thus goes the saying. A kind word, a polite gesture, a sweet smile can win many wars, so said Guru Nanak. Words, after all have the power to flatter as well as scorch.

Today, where there is so much unhappiness in the world, with destitute hungering for food and shelter and the downtrodden craving for justice in the strife- torn world- a kind word, a loving touch or a friendly gesture go a long way in dispelling the pall of gloom.

Life is so short and true friendship so hard to come by. Wouldn’t it be better to always speak politely and softly rather than rant and rave and upset the feelings of others? After all, it costs nothing to be polite.

Being courteous and using carefully chosen kind words creates a feeling of warmth and happiness. The words may be simple, but they are bound to work wonders. Ridicule is the worst form of malice in speech, barbed words that play on meanings should be shunned, for they hurt people’s feelings and break up relationships.

People often cause pain and anguish with their harsh words, either possessed of a sharp temper or constrained by tension. Whatever be the reason, one bitter word can wound like the lethal blades of a hundred swords.

Undeniably, there are millions of people in the world who think little, act even less, but talk too much. And what do they talk about? Nothing worthwhile- they merely indulge in idle gossip, little realizing that the rumors may have no basis in the truth, thus bringing bad repute to an innocent person. Imagine the magnitude of untold misery that is caused to the person concerned!

The spoken or the written word makes a permanent impact on the people it is addressed to. The Mahabharata reveals how Lord Krishna’s advice in the battlefield left a deep impression on Arjuna’s mind and guided him to his duty as a warrior in the kurukshetra war.

So words, like fire, can either warm or burn you. No one would like to confront an angry man who hurls a torrent of abuses. Such words will surely burn your ears. On the other hand soothing words, or words of kindness, will sound like music to the ear.

As Edmund Burke remarked, a very great part of mischief that the world experiences arises from words. And words once spoken can never be retraced, ‘think before you speak’ is a true maxim as ‘look before you leap’. How forceful correct words are! Beware of the person who swains you with vain words. Likewise, excessive flattery should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Rudyard Kipling once said “words are the most powerful drugs used by the mankind.”

We would have fewer disputes in the world if words were taken for what they are; the signs of our ideas only, not for things themselves.
Words aptly spoken are like apples of gold in a pitcher of silver. So sprinkle goodness and endearing words everywhere.
